Max Braunstein is a New York based drummer and percussionist. Previously, Max was playing drums and percussion on the National Tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the National Tour of Hairspray.
Max holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Miami, where he served as a Teaching Assistant, directing the Drumline for the University of Miami Frost Band of the Hour. Max also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Percussion Performance from East Carolina University.
As a performer, Max has National Tour credits, as well as performing for other groups in the New York area, including the New York Giants Drumline. Max has performed in venues across the United States in pit orchestras, jazz groups, orchestras, marching bands, and anything else that might need a drum!
As an educator, Max served as a drumline instructor for the University of Miami Frost Band of the Hour Drumline, Massapequa High School Marching Chiefs Drumline, Mineola Marching Mustangs Drumline, and the Union Area Drumline (outside Pittsburgh, PA). In addition to teaching drumlines, Max has experience teaching drums and percussion privately throughout his musical career, age ranging from 4 to 40!
