Max Braunstein is a New York based drummer and percussionist. Most recently, Max was playing drums and percussion on the National Tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Max holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Miami, where he served as a Teaching Assistant, directing the Drumline for the University of Miami Frost Band of the Hour. Max also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Percussion Performance from East Carolina University.
As a performer, Max has National Tour credits, as well as performing for other groups in the New York area, including the New York Giants Drumline. Max has performed in venues across the country such as Carnegie Hall (NY), MetLife Stadium (NJ), Adrienne Arsht Center (Miami, FL), Orpheum Theater (Memphis TN), Kauffman Center (Kansas City, MO), Plaza Theater (El Paso, TX), Saegner Theater (New Orleans, LA), Detroit Opera House (Detroit, MI), among others.
As an educator, Max served as a drumline instructor for the University of Miami Frost Band of the Hour Drumline, Massapequa High School Marching Chiefs Drumline, Mineola Marching Mustangs Drumline, and the Union Area Drumline (outside Pittsburgh, PA). In addition to teaching drumlines, Max has experience teaching drums and percussion privately throughout his musical career. Max is available for all virtual lessons as well as in-person lessons around New York City and Long Island.
